Marketing is always changing. It’s not your job to stay on top of every little trend. Actually, that’s our job. So we compiled a few things to take note of in 2023.

1) Short-form content is on the rise.

Platforms such as Instagram reels, Facebook reels, TikTok, and YouTube shorts are becoming increasingly popular, and funeral homes and cemeteries should consider incorporating these types of videos into their marketing strategy. These videos should be under a minute in length and focus on showcasing your business's unique aspects.

2) Long-form content is also becoming more important.

While traditional long-form content might be 30-40 minutes long, more and more businesses are turning to shorter 3-5 minute videos that can be chopped up into short-form content and uploaded to YouTube. This allows businesses to share more detailed information about their services and products while keeping their audience's attention.

3)  Real-time, organic content is crucial.

In today's fast-paced world, people want to see authentic and in-the-moment content. This means that funeral homes and cemeteries should focus on creating unique content for their business and showcasing their team and services in a way that competitors can't replicate.

At the end of the day, it's all about building relationships with your audience. Gone are the days of automated, generic content. Instead, focus on creating meaningful, authentic content that will help you connect with your customers on a deeper level. Remember, relationships are the crux of the business in the funeral home and cemetery business.
