Oftentimes, people ask us why we focus on social media so much. Though there are multiple reasons, there’s one that really sticks out more than the rest. But before we get into that, we need to explain some things.
DISRUPT Media isn’t really a social media marketing company. We consider ourselves a “Relationship Marketing” company. Our goal isn’t just to improve your social metrics, we also want to help our members build relationships inside their communities and foster those relationships into something beneficial for everyone involved.
So, when the objective is to one, create new relationships, and two, build upon existing ones; social media is the medium that makes the most sense.
On Facebook, you can see posts and pages that your friends interact with. Chances are, you’ve started following a page because your friend shared one of their posts or you saw that they commented on the page. You can also utilize paid media and extremely specific targeting to get your message out to the rest of your community. That’s super powerful.
Then, once people are in your ecosystem, you can create and post content that builds a connection and relationship with your audience. An effective social media page is one where the audience feels as if they know the people at the funeral home that they follow.
Other digital marketing platforms can either help you find new people OR help you build a relationship with them, but social media is the best platform for doing both.
